Employee Spotlight: with Kim Bubb

From office experience to the fast pace of the marine world, her journey has been anything but expected.

Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Kim Bubb brings a unique blend of experience, energy, and enthusiasm to her role at Bristol Marine. With a background in customer service and accounts receivable/payable, Kim’s skill set made her a perfect fit for the team, even though the marine industry wasn’t originally on her radar.

“I wasn’t specifically looking to get into the industry,” she says. “I had no previous boating background, but the job listing matched my skills—and I’ve thrived in the position ever since.”

And thrive she has. Kim quickly adapted to the fast-paced and hands-on nature of the maritime world, proving that dedication and a willingness to learn can open doors in unexpected places.

What excites her most about the marine industry?

“There’s always a new problem to solve,” she says. “It keeps things interesting.”

Since joining the Bristol Marine, Kim has continued to grow within the company and remains passionate about her workplace.

“I love where I work,” she adds. “It’s been a great environment to learn and develop in.”

When she’s not tackling challenges at work, Kim can be found belting out karaoke, powering through CrossFit, or riding roller coasters. And here’s a fun fact that surprises many—she’s never been on an airplane.

So what’s next for Kim at Bristol Marine?

“Learning even more about the industry and growing my skills even further.”
